In the case of Plexi EVO there was a minor change in production, when a safety element called fixation was included. This means that if there is any contact of the plexi with, for example, the shoulder of an opponent, the plexi will not move up or down and thus no unwanted injury to the nose or other part of the face will occur. If "without fixation" is in the name, then fixation is not included and the plexi can be moved up or down more easily (especially appreciated by players who would prefer not to play with the plexi but are prohibited by the rules).
