Brian’s Custom Sports has released their next generation in the Brian’s NetZero line. The Brian’s NetZero 2 Intermediate Goalie Leg Pads bring key similarities back from the NetZero leg pad and implement some key details to make this the ultimate pad for a young goaltender.
Starting off with the face of the Brian’s NetZero 2, the graphic is made with two large lightning bolt designs with one shooting down from the top and the other striking up from the bottom, along with a small triangle accent at the top to create a simple yet great looking graphic. On the face itself, a flat design is implemented to provide predictable rebounds for the goaltender that give an edge on second chance opportunities.
Looking at the outer shape of the NetZero 2 Intermediate, you will notice the pre-curved design with a double outer break that is provided to help the goaltender with flexibility and mobility while using this pad. This flexible construction allows the goaltender to transition in and out of the butterfly comfortably during play, helping create good habits for a young goaltender.
Next on the inside edge of the NetZero 2 Intermediate, Brian’s has provided the goaltender with an optimal sliding area that is designed to allow the goaltender to get effective slides across the crease while staying in control of the pad. At the knee area, a squared knee landing is provided to give the goaltender a large stable area when dropping down in to the butterfly.
Flipping around to the inside of the NetZero 2, above the knee there is a provided tie in area made specifically for the Pro 2 Knee Pads to be attached physically to the leg pad. On the knee stack, a single Velcro strap is provided to be connected across the knee or angled down to a provided attachment area on the outside calf flap. Moving down to the calf area, Brian’s Smart Strap system is utilized to create a balanced strapping feel that is simple to attach. This strap is easily adjustable to give the goaltender their own preferred fit when using the NetZero 2. Over top of the calf, a webbing strap pulls the landing area to the goaltender’s leg an connects to the outside of the calf simply with a buckle.
Finally, Brian’s Smart Boot Strap is featured and is made with high-grade nylon that is commonly used in seat belts to provide the durability the goaltender needs in a boot strap. This strap is fully adjustable for the goaltender to help find their most effective fit and feel. The final touches of the strapping comes with the Smart toe set up that features an elastic build to provide consistent tension that allows the goaltender to get effective pushes without restriction.
If you are an intermediate-level goaltender who is looking for a lightweight pad that offers a customized fit with simple and adjustable strapping options, the Brian’s NetZero 2 Intermediate Goalie Leg Pads are the pads for you.
